Antique Edwardian French Homespun Linen Day Dress | Pintucks and "M.L." Monogram
An antique French linen day dress dating to the Edwardian era. Crafted in medium-heavy weight homespun flax linen (possibly a linen-hemp blend) with beautiful slubbing and irregular texture throughout. Featuring vertical pintuck panels at the front and back, subtle shaping seams, and white embroidered scalloped neckline and sleeve hems. Finished with a hand embroidered red monogram "M.L." at the chest. The silhouette is gently structured through the shoulders with relaxed volume through the body. A beautifully preserved example of 20th century domestic dress.
