Paris is a special place for us, as it is for many women. It is a city that holds space for the romance and possibility life has to offer without promising perfection. The clothing we source there reflect the same principle.

We spend ample time with each one of our pieces, often an hour or more. We try it on. We feel the fabric. We study the construction. We look into where it came from, how it was made, what it’s lived through. It has to feel right, not just look right.

Maison d’Armure translates to “house of armor.”

The name comes from the idea of the armor of God—not as something rigid or defensive, but as something that protects through strength of character. Peace. Integrity. Presence. Truth.

To us, clothing can be a picture of that.

The MDA woman is grounded. She moves with intention. She values beauty, but not at the expense of truth. She’s soft, but not fragile. There’s a quiet strength to her. A sense of self.
